Quasi-identifiers

Definition:

A piece of information that is not of itself a unique identifier of an entity, but that is sufficiently well correlated with the entity that it can be combined with other quasi-identifiers to create a unique identifier

Commentary:

quasi-identifiers (e.g., race) that can be combined with other quasi-identifiers (e.g., date of birth) to successfully recognize an individual
