Technology Architecture
Definition:
The strategy and execution of how the physical infrastructure is designed to support the business and data needs of the organization.
Commentary:
Technology architecture is one of the subcomponents of enterprise architecture. It is important to have integration between business architecture, data architecture and technology architecture.
The physical infrastructure includes, but is not limited to:
– Hardware
– System software
– Locations
– Configurations
– Standards and adopted protocols
– Linkages of computing platforms and/or servers to existing and planned applications and database
